I’m w/ McG on this one. Great choice for the battle quote, too. ID4 is one of my guilty pleasures and that rousing presidential speech alone is enough to win this battle 😀 Plus, Wil Smith is just a heck of a lot cooler than Tom Cruise!

I need to go back over all these battles to see who I mostly side with – that would be interesting. It’s McG this time – Independence Day is great fun. War of the World’s isn’t bad but I don’t have an eagerness to watch it every year like ID4.

gotta go with War of the Worlds on this one. they both have many many flaws, but ID4 just has too many annoying performances and cheesy dialogue. i like the more serious tone of WotW.

I just loathe WoW…from one unrealistic situation to another it was just intolerable. ID4 had a slightly campy nature to it and it may be nostalgia talking but it still stand up.
What really killed WoW for me was the ending. (SPOILER..no wait let me spoil it so you don’t have to waste your time on this one) How could the whole world go to hell (for a brief period of time) and Cruise’s ‘entire’ family be unaffected by the madness. Oh we were here the whole time, won’t you come in for tea? Ugg…I’m with you McG!! Go ID4:)
