Top Five… Worst alien invasions
We are not alone. Besides us, there’s those aliens out there, making the worst attempt ever to take over the planet. With the release of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost alien flick Paul next week, now is as good a time as any for Ross McD to rattle through the worst extra-terrestrial plans of attack on Phantom’s Cinerama.

Yes weve mastered splace flight and world destroying weaponry, but no, we’ve never heard of computer viruses

Superman 2 utterly sucks, but I actually like Signs and War of the Worlds! And you can’t criticise Independence Day. It has Jeff Goldblukm in. And he makes everythign better. Even Cats and Dogs.
As for ET; good call, that was a seriously failed invasion. Although maybe he’d ahve one better if it wasn’t for those pesky kids.

I love that you can’t find anything on Earth that will interface with a Mac, but you just fly on up to an alien mothership and plug it in.
I’m with Ross McG. Great, albeit very stupid, film.

On War of the worlds, I like the Futurama ending better:
“In the end, it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God’s creatures…
…the Tyrannosaurus Rex.”

Hehe. T rex lol. And McD, I think its perfectly plausible that the invaders wouldn’t know about a small virus – its Jeff goldblum as a neurotic boffin I have trouble buying…
‘what you uh call a game of chess in Central park.. I call the rape of the natural world.’

Katie, I like all these films! just not so much their military strategies.
Seconded t rex lol. You know what Jeff Goldblum would have said about it.
‘uh John, what you got in there? Some kinda large dinosaur?’
‘um, yes professor Malcom, good spot’

‘uh, mcd.. you were so preoccupied doing this top five about whether you could – that you forgot to ask whether, you, uh, should.’

Can someone please make a film where an alien invasion is stopped by a T Rex? It will change the face of cinema as we know it.

I think signs was the worst alien invasion movie. It was soooo bad….
